Diode Ring Modulator The Diode Ring Modulator - named from the fact that is a diode ring and modulates one signal with another. I first saw it in an article in a 1950's issue of "Electronics" magazine. I was under the impression at the time that the article was written by the first person to apply the idea to electronic music.
